Our Ethiopia Guji Shakiso Hoqata Reserve hails from the fertile highlands of West Guji, Ethiopia, specifically sourced from the esteemed Nardos Exporting Company. With coffee heritage dating back to 1960, Nardos Exporting is a third-generation family business managed today by Mr. Aklilu Kassathe. Since restructuring the business in 1998, Mr. Kassathe has propelled Nardos into one of Ethiopia’s most reputable coffee producers, annually exporting around 2,000 tons of premium coffee worldwide.
Their farm in Dimtu Kebele spans four lush hectares, resting at altitudes between 1,950 to 2,100 meters above sea level, providing the perfect environment for nurturing high-quality beans. The coffee undergoes a natural processing method, allowing beans to absorb richer flavors from the fruit, enhancing its unique sweetness and complexity.
