Cafe Creativity - Emma and the Headbanger
Over the years, we've seen some spectacular creative work at the Cafe. From award winning photography, stunning custom motorcycles, vivid oil paintings and everything in between, there is no denying that some truly talented people have passed through the doors of Cafe Rider.
An important part of the creative process, however, is knowing when to go back to basics. Recently, we received a reminder that drove this point firmly home.
A young lady (named Emma, we later learned) came to the Cafe, sat at one of our tables and she began sketching something on her artists pad...
Three hours and a few coffees later, she had rendered the front section of "the Headbanger" onto paper, capturing every detail while maintaining the bike's proportions perfectly. To put it mildly, we were blown away!
She came back to the Cafe a couple months later with the artwork (which she had framed), and promptly gifted it to us!
What's most impressive is that Emma is a financier by day, and not a sketch artist. In fact, she draws just for fun. We're sure you'll agree with us that such talents should not be hidden away, and we told her as much. Furthermore, any suggestions on where we should hang the sketch are more than welcome.
On that note, if you're interested in getting a bike, a car or anything else drawn by Emma, please don't hesitate to reach out to her on Instagram at @englishroseindubai. We'll continue to highlight creativity at the Cafe, so stay tuned for more!
