Finding Inspiration
Inspiration and creativity.
They're abstract concepts, intangible in nature. They're certainly not consistent, ebbing and flowing with time and depending on any number of external factors.
Throw the summer heat, global events, and all the other pandemic-related news we've been receiving into the mix and it quickly becomes clear that this smoothie doesn't have a single ounce of inspiration in it. A change is needed from time to time...
At Cafe Rider, we're fortunate that we don't have to look too far to be inspired, surrounded as we are by some spectacularly beautiful machines and some very talented craftsmen. Time to chase some of that inspiration that we've been talking about, on a motorcycle no less. Game on!
So, one warm weekday evening, we rode away from the city, leaving behind the skyscrapers and the traffic, chasing the setting sun. Wide open roads, a gentle breeze and the unmistakeable soundtrack of a thundering S&S V-twin set the scene.
On and on we rode, until the sun had set and the city lights beckoned to us. As we turned back towards the Cafe, it became clear that all we had needed was a breath of fresh air. Our petrol tank was close to empty, but it was more than worth it.
In our experience, inspiration is seldom found by looking at a screen. So, if you've got to disconnect from the world and disappear for a few hours, do it! Get on your bike or in your car and head for the horizon, destination unknown.
Stop by the Cafe on your way back, have a coffee and tell us about your adventures. We're looking forward to seeing you and hearing your story.
Till then, be original. Be free.
