When Café Rider opened its doors in 2014, people were slightly apprehensive. With a name like that, would it become a hangout for tough bikers wearing leathers, riding big Harleys and belonging to clubs that evoked visions of the Hells Angels? That perception couldn’t be further from the truth.
The fact is, our vision for Café Rider consisted of a welcoming yet laidback hangout spot for all. Yes, we like motorcycles, but that doesn’t encompass who we are as people. Our slogan “Be original, be free” gives everyone of us the freedom to be who we are, and that ethos has filtered into the community that calls Café Rider a home away from home.
Pilots, bankers, photographers, artists, architects and every other profession in between – we’ve seen them all at Café Rider at one point or another. We’ve seen business meetings, long overdue catchups between friends, “working from home,” or people just trying to pass some time. Our events are no different, with music performances, stand-up comedy nights and Cars & Coffees taking place at the Café.
As long as it’s during business hours, our doors are open for everyone. Our regulars aren’t customers anymore, they’re friends. So whether we’ve known you for years or we’re yet to meet you, you’ll experience the same warm welcome every time you enter Café Rider.
