10 for 10: Anniversary Special Edition coffees
We're officially kickstarting our 10th Anniversary festivities with what we do best - coffee!
Whether you've been tuned into the Cafe's channels, or you're first hearing about this (where've you been?) we can't underestimate how excited we are to celebrate our 10th Anniversary this year.
While our main events will take place in October and November, that isn't stopping us from planning, prepping and..... roasting!
It's true - our Roastery team has been hard at work exploring multiple concepts by which we can showcase our capabilities as a first-tier roasting establishment during this milestone event. After much discussion we happened upon "10 for 10."
Keeping it simple, we'll be releasing 10 highly limited edition coffees over the five months leading up to our main Anniversary event in November. Coffee aficionados can expect the same great Cafe Rider quality in these sets of balanced beans, yet with more adventurous flavor notes when compared to our regular offerings. All of the 10th Anniversary coffees will feature a gold 10th Anniversary logo so keep an eye out for them. Once they're gone, they're gone!
We're beginning this prestigious process with the Guatemala Concepcion Buena Vista. Sourced from our longtime green bean partner Harvest Belt, these beans are of a Red Bourbon variety, grown at 1800 meters above sea level at the Concepcion Buena Vista farm, which is run by fourth-generation coffee farmers Eddy and David Solano.
• Region: San Martín Jilotepeque, Chimaltenango
• Varietal: Red Bourbon
• Altitude: 1,750 – 1,800 MASL
• Process: Natural
• Roast: Medium, recommended for Espresso
Tasting notes include hints of Butterscotch, Black Cherry, Prunes and Dark Chocolate.
This coffee will be available at our coffee bar and on our retail shelves for home brewing, but only till stocks last. We'll be launching two coffees per month, so stay tuned for our second coffee of July which will launch toward the second half of this month!
