Caffeine Cruise to Khor Fakkan
After our record-setting first Caffeine Cruise of the season, we knew that another one had to be organized sooner than later. We planned to leave the city behind and Khor Fakkan was set as the destination.
Very early on Friday, November 19th, we met at the Cafe. Coffees were consumed, a briefing was carried out and at 6 am, we left Cafe Rider and headed out onto the open road. A quick stop for fuel later, we were on the road to Khor Fakkan!
A gentle breeze spurred us on as the sun rose directly in front of us. The thundering soundtrack of around 40 motorcycles and a few cars reverberated on the empty road, waking everything within earshot.
As the road began to climb, we traded desert scenery for stunning mountain vistas. A few tunnels and numerous twisty sections later, we reached our destination - Khor Fakkan Corniche - exactly two hours after we had left the Cafe. Breakfast and coffee, which had travelled with us in the precious CR icebox, was served.
We've said it before and we'll say it again - a change of scenery can work wonders for the soul. Add that to the already existing camaraderie that is prevalent among bikers and you have the very essence of what makes the Caffeine Cruise a success. All in all, it was a relaxed ride with a good group of friends (old and new). There were no breakdowns and everyone brought the right vibes to the party.
As always, be original. Be free.
Stay tuned for updates on upcoming Caffeine Cruises and other CR events!
